Due to the fact that COVID-19 is continuing to spread at a rapid pace and its most prevalent means of transmission is human to human contact, we have decided to extend the suspension of all in-person physical therapy treatments through the week of March 30-April 3 and possibly longer.
Patients may still continue to be treated by their therapist using telehealth services. Telehealth allows an Ascent Physical Therapy therapist to connect with you virtually on a computer, simply by clicking a link we’ll send you. You’ll need a computer and internet access to use this feature. FaceTime on an Apple smartphone can also be used as an option. We’ll be able to demonstrate stretches, exercises and techniques to address pain you may be having or how to best move forward with your physical therapy program. While we remain in this crisis, all insurance companies have loosened their rules on collecting patient co-pays. So co-pays are optional at this time. If you elect to make your co-pay, we will email you an invoice that can be paid online. Our goal is to continue to serve and provide services for our patients as best we can while looking out for the safety of our patients, staff and community. We appreciate your understanding and we are always here to help. Be sure to check out our “Quarantine Workouts” for virtual versions of our wellness classes.
All onsite wellness classes have been cancelled. We have developed free exercise videos for streaming on our website and Facebook @AscentPT.NV. More content will be added daily so that you can continue to enjoy a variety of classes. You can also ask to join the Facebook group “quarantine core” that Tammie has started for live-streaming and Core2Floor videos. Angela also has live streaming yoga classes and videos on the Facebook group “Sun Mountain Yoga at Ascent”, while Jon is posting Foam Roller sequences and Nancy continues to post (not) CoreAlign series. All videos are open to the community for free and can be viewed by clicking on Quarantine Workouts from our home page.
All wellness class packages will be placed on hold during this time. An extension will be added on to any expiration dates of those packages once it is safe to begin onsite classes again. We thank you for your understanding. Take care and stay safe,
Kevin Bigley, PT, MSPT
